Future Motorcycle Trips

With spring upon us here in Ohio, my husband and I are gearing up for riding weather. The warmer spring weather makes for the perfect time to start motorcycle maintenance, organizing riding gear and accessories and planning our future motorcycle trips!

Here are a few places we are planning to ride this year:

Ride along the Ohio River

The gentle curved roads along the Ohio River are perfect for the cruiser-enthusiast. One of our favorite routes is the beautifully scenic Ohio St. Rt. 52 along the banks of the Ohio River. We’ll be cruising this route several times this summer!

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Milwaukee has been on my husband’s wish list for quite some time. Being the birthplace of Harley-Davidson, we will be taking a factory tour and exploring the Harley-Davidson Museum. Of course, we also plan to explore the city, grab a pint at local breweries, stroll along the Milwaukee River and hit the country roads outside of the city to explore Wisconsin’s landscapes.

Sturgis, South Dakota

Every motorcycle enthusiast knows about the famous Black Hills Classic, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. The 77^th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally takes place August 4^th-13^th, we will be visiting the area the week prior, but staying an extra day to attend the first day of the rally! Looking forward to witnessing some of America’s most stunning landscapes from the back of our motorcycle!

Marietta, Ohio

We can’t wait to hit the roads near Marietta in Washington County, Ohio! Four routes wind motorcyclists along the Ohio River, through Wayne National Forest and some of Ohio’s most stunning rural landscapes! Looking forward to riding the 300 miles of the Mid-Ohio Valley Scenic Routes and exploring covered bridges, small towns and the rolling hills of southeastern Ohio!

Windy 9 in Southeast Ohio

The Windy 9 is a collection of nine routes that encompasses nearly 1,000 miles of roads throughout Athens County, Ohio and its surrounding counties. We rode this collection of routes last summer and enjoyed our time exploring the winding curves, switchbacks and gorgeous Ohio landscapes! With only completing about 500 of the 1,000 miles, we are challenging ourselves to complete all 1,000 miles this year! Read about our motorcycle experience on the Windy 9, HERE!
